Not Me my kid Monday

Welcome to Not Me! Monday! This blog carnival was created by MckMama. You can head over to her blog to read what she and everyone else have not been doing this week. I usually just run over and read the denials of Stone Fox leaving my own snide additions there, but today it switched to the kids, so it was like a sign from the bloggoddessessess from above, so here we go:

My beautiful nine-year-old girl did NOT come up to my room and sit on my bed last night at the EXACT. WORST. POSSIBLE. TIME. And proceed to tell us in great detail how she was worried about when the sun would explode.

That is all.

  1. Hmmm... I'm pretty sure that there are many places where one could purchase a locking doorknob! Just something you might think about adding to your list of summer projects.

(I mean for your bedroom, not the kids' rooms!)

  2. Hmm... That would make sense.

"If you see the doorknob lying on the floor, do NOT - under any circumstances - proceed down the hall into our room"

Kind of like the hanger on the supply room in M*A*S*H! I like it.

If you meant "no, stupid, put it on the door" the upstairs rooms do not have doors, so that would have to be project No. 1. It's on the list. Possibly slightly higher today.

  3. oh, this is hilarious, especially because it didn't happen to me. i will never forget hearing a little voice say, "mommy?" between thumps of the headboard hitting the wall.

"i heard on the news the sun is going to explode tonight. RUN AND HIDE UNDER THE HOUSE. DON'T COME OUT UNTIL I SAY." jeez, you could have had hours of fun.

  4. oh, and just fyi; when i get up in the morning, right away i like to wash some xanax down with a mickey of whatever booze is handy. i try to save the boxing for later in the day, once the heroin has worn off. might be dangerous otherwise.

i am glad you have blogging-ADD. i have often wondered if i have blogging-ODD (Oppositional Defiance Disorder), and who wants to be the only one with a fictitious computer disorder? frequently i want to do something my computer won't let me do and invariably i tell it to f*ck off. i think me and my computer never bonded properly when we first met.

  5. I can't believe I am just reading this TODAY i.e. Friday - actually - crap - it's 12:10am which makes it officially Saturday. And to think I could have been amused by this tale all week.

PS Hate to be obvious but um...oh yeah...aren't you and enginerd or something? Don't you know how to lock your door? Just sayin'...
