This photo was taken by either Pepper or Stewie (I can't recall which because it was a little while ago, but I'm thinking Stewie, just because he grabs the camera more often).
I "doctored" it (I say this to preempt someone commenting "shopped!") because I thought "hey, the jacket & plates are already black, the wall and shirt are already white. Maybe if I B&W it, no one will notice the blue undertones of my skin." Except now I've told you. So you can just imagine me belonging in an early version of Star Trek (there's NO way I'd fall for Jim though. Gimme a break. Spock.)
My main point is: the kids need to learn to use the soft-focus more.
Exclusion Principle

Lovely. Absolutely lovely. And I won't mention a thing about the fact that you're posting your mother's day post in June. I absolutely won't. So back to my original thought: lovely.
ReplyDeleteIs mother's day a month later in East Coldass Bumblefrick?
ReplyDeleteJust askin'. ;)
Love the pic, love it!
Nice photo, I like the way the colour fades out towards the bottom of the stems. I don't know what you used, but it would be nice if the colour didn't bleed off on the right hand side.
ReplyDeleteAnd whatever you used to doctor it probably has a "soften" filter. Select the area you want and fuzz it a little and voila! Ten years erased... In case you haven't guessed, I've spent some time restoring old photos, doctoring new ones that aren't right, etc. I highly recommend The Gimp if you haven't seen it yet.
And the photo! Very nice, very casual, but I barely recognized you --- I don't know if I've ever seen you with your mouth closed! :-)
Beautiful....nothing else to say!
ReplyDeleteI think that's a beautiful picture! And AndreAnna, we prefer to be called "outer mongolia". ;-}
ReplyDeletewhat a beautiful picture
ReplyDeleteWhy thank you everyone. I wasn't fishing. Really. (Really.)
ReplyDeleteI used Picasa. (It's free. Clearly.)
Those hassling about Mothers' Day, just wait until I get my Valentine's Day post out. I'm thinking maybe August. I'm not about boundaries.
What a great photo and you doctored it beautifully.
ReplyDeleteI love this! You should blow it up (as in "make it bigger", not "explode it into a billion pieces") and frame it. This should totally solve the "what to put over the couch" dilemma. Serious, it's gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteHey, at least you didn't post it after Father's day! ;)
xo
ps - how did I miss this post? I thought I was all caught up. I looked at my sidebar list, found yours pushed near the bottom by newer posts, and was all "hey, that title doesn't sound familiar"!
But hey, it's nice to have something new-to-me to read! :)
Thank you some more, ladies!
ReplyDeleteSo what you're saying, Nenette is go ahead with the Valentine's post??
;-)
In a word, "yes". :)
ReplyDeleteps - what the hell's a 'darse'?
